Is there a leak in my bottle?

Infant Bottles with Nipples

Our infant nipples have an extra flange that sits down into the bottle to prevent leaks. If your bottle is leaking make sure the nipple is seated correctly by placing the nipple on the bottle before you add the metal collar. Check that the lower nipple flange is inside the bottle all the way around then place the collar over the nipple and thread into place.

A worn or torn nipple will cause leaking. Our nipples have several vent holes necessary for ease of drinking and to prevent baby from swallowing too much air. Over time these vent holes can wear and cause leaking at which time it is appropriate to replace the nipple. This wear may not visible to the eye. Replace the nipple with a new one if your bottle is leaking. We recommend nipples be replaced every 6-8 weeks or earlier if there is excessive wear or tears.

Never put liquids hotter than 99°F / 37°C in the bottle or leaking can occur from the silicone nipple expanding.

Toddler Bottles

A worn or torn spout will cause leaking. If your child chews their silicone sip spout the opening will expand and the spout can leak from the opening. We recommend nipples be replaced every 6-8 weeks or earlier if there is excessive wear or tears.
