Why shouldn't I reuse a "clean" plastic bottle?
There's no question reusing a plastic bottle is better for the environment than tossing it out after one use. But what's good for the environment may not be so good for you. For years, PC bottles (polycarbonate) were (nearly) universally felt to be safe. Plastic manufacturing conglomerates, much like tobacco companies, have a huge vested interest in positioning their product in a way that implies these so called safe plastics are in fact safe. But recent studies indicate plastic water bottles may be harmful to your health. Is it really worth the chance of chemical leaching for a plastic bottle that is only a couple of dollars less expensive than Pura bottles?
