Why use a stainless steel bottle?

Because even BPA-free plastic bottles can leach petroleum by-products and other chemical components of plastic when heated, scuffed or scratched.

While glass bottles are free of petroleum by-products the plastic nipple ring used in such bottles is NOT! In addition, we all know how easily glass breaks and chips when tossed or dropped from a high chair.

And, aluminum bottles are really no better than plastic bottles because all aluminum bottles are coated with an epoxy-based oven enamel. In many cases, these enamels have been shown to leach BPA or other by-products of the coating.

Stainless steel, on the other hand, is an inert non-leaching material that has been used in food preparation and milk pasteurization for years. Stainless steel does not require the funky epoxy liner of aluminum, is 100% BPA free (unlike plastic), and is infinitely more durable than glass. And, Pura Kiki bottles are the only bottles on the market that feature a stainless steel collar.
